Systematic futures trading research

Quantitative Excellence

Quantarête builds systematic trading strategies for the futures markets (equity indices, interest rates, currencies, energy, metals and agriculture) through rigorous research, robust validation and risk-first execution. No guesswork, just evidence.

Approach

Discipline over prediction

Markets reward process, not opinions. Every strategy we run has to earn its place through the same demanding path.

Research first

Every idea starts as a testable hypothesis and is interrogated against clean, broad market data before anything else.

Robust validation

Out-of-sample, walk-forward and stress testing separate genuine signal from curve-fitted noise.

Risk-first execution

Position sizing, diversification and drawdown controls are designed before returns are ever considered.

Continuous refinement

Live performance is monitored against expectations, and strategies are retired as readily as they are deployed.

Method

The ARÊTE method

Five steps, one standard. Every strategy walks the same ridge from first idea to live capital, and it can be stopped at any step along the way.

  1. Analyze

Study market structure and behaviour to frame an edge with a clear, falsifiable rationale.

  2. Research

Build the idea out on large, carefully prepared datasets and explore how it behaves.

  3. Evaluate

Out-of-sample, walk-forward, Monte Carlo and robustness checks separate signal from curve-fitted noise.

  4. Test

Forward-test under live market conditions, with no capital at risk, to confirm the research holds.

  5. Execute

Deploy with automated, rules-based execution and strict risk limits, monitored against expectations.

The name

Quant + Arête

arête ἀρετή
In ancient Greek thought, excellence: the full realisation of purpose and potential.
arête mountaineering
A sharp, narrow ridge between two valleys, where every step demands precision.

We hold ourselves to both meanings: excellence in process, and the discipline to walk the narrow edge between risk and reward.

It is also how we work: Analyze, Research, Evaluate, Test, Execute.
